About Us
Locally Owned & Operated Since 1985
While in his early 30's, owner Gary Stalvey, was employed by Nucor Steel Mill in Darlington, SC. It was here that he witnessed deliveries and installs from a national door corporation & it struck his curiosity about the "overhead type" door industry. After conversing with local contractors,
he discovered that there was not a local business that could supply, install & perform garage door repair.
With his millwright/carpentry skills in one hand & a prayer in the other, he set out as a one-man operation, determined to bring this outlet to our area. With this mindset, Stalvey Door, Inc. was born.
Fast forward 37yrs later, Stalvey Door still has the same determination. Along with his daughter and a valued team of technicians, the company still strives to proudly serve local customers and contractors with the same mindset of "reliability & affordability", that it based its roots upon.
